The diary of the trip to the Great Barrier reef
The Greatest reef. Freediver's quest.
We are shooting a wonderful tv program about the beauty of the reef for National Geographic! Thank you Greg Grainger for creating this tv show and finding the best crew!
1 day (26 november 2015)
It's the first day on the pontoon! A platform in the middle of the ocean where we are going to spend 5 days. Beautiful experience of underwater flight in the horizontal ocean waterfall!)
2 day (27 november 2015)
Second day on the pontoon. We are in the paradise! Ocean all around, birds, corals, fish, turtles and sharks! No communication with external world!) no internet, no FB...
3 day (28 november 2015)
Third day at the pontoon. Hardy reef. We started to shoot immediately!) Kisses with white capped noddy, paddling on the safety board long the raise of sunrise...Cave diving throughout a tiny hole in coral and underwater scooter riding.
4 day (29 november 2015)
4th day at the pontoon. I love the life here!) Beautiful sunrises from the ocean, meditations and exercises with birds, interviews, drift diving...
5 day (30 november 2015)
Fifth day at the pontoon started with a dive! I missed the moment of sunrise and to wake me up better jumped down from the bad directly in the ocean.
6 day (1 december 2015)
6. Traveling day from Airlie beach to Hervey bay 10 hours ride trough Australian roads, eucalyptus, cows, horses and kangaroo.
7 day (2 december 2015)
Lady Elliot island. Tiny private island with many birds and very nice crew. And what the ocean offers around it is absolutely incredible!
8 day (3 december 2015)
Lady Elliot island. Shark pool.
9 day (4 december 2015)
Storm! The morning was very stormy with strong wind and big waves. But we grabbed all our courage in a fist and took a boat to go on the island. After a long ride all wet and cold we arrived on the shore. Just stepped inside the wood and the wind stopped.
10 day (5 december 2015)
Very raft morning! Strong wind and waves! It was a real challenge to come back from Lady Musgrave island to Lady Elliot island.
11 day (6 december 2015)
The last day of our reef adventure! We moved from Lady Elliot island to Frazer island, the biggest sand island in the world.
